VANS RELEASES DESIGN ASSEMBLY COLLECTION FOR WOMEN
Vans releases a directional assortment of women’s apparel, accessories and footwear that defies trends by blending Vans heritage elements with streetwear-inspired silhouettes.
The Design Assembly Collection offers classic but bold styling options for the spring season.
To capture the essence of the 1990s skate and street culture aesthetic that helped inform the design direction of the assortment, the collection was shot on film in Downtown Los Angeles by Southern California photographer and visual artist, Daniel Regan featuring model, Gabbriette with styling done by Amanda Merten.
After combing the archives for design inspiration, Vans designers grounded the collection on silhouettes that carried the “Off The Wall” Legend Stamp logo found on tees and fleece from the ‘90s. Designers streamlined the oversized fits, colors and details from the original fabrications to release a more contemporary and timeless offering.
Highlights from the collection include the Boulder Top which hosts an embroidered skateboard logo, the Boulder Pullover constructed in premium French Terry, and the Legend Stamp Crew and Hoodies that blast the vintage “Off The Wall” logo at the chest. The Authentic Wide Leg Pant joins the collection as a new style offering from Vans and takes cues from men’s chinos by using twill fabric stylized in a wide leg fit.
In addition to the hero pieces, the Design Assembly offers t-shirts, dresses, backpacks and hats and is completed by a six-piece offering of Classic footwear. Each style is made from heavy-weight distressed canvas, oversized silver grommets and oversized laces. Black, white, flame and silver pine colorways will be available to compliment the apparel assortment.
The Design Assembly Collection is available now to buy in stores and online at vans.eu beginning this March.
