Costa Mesa, CALIF. (August 14, 2019) – Building on the success of the UltraRange, Vans is proud to announce the latest innovation to push footwear forward: The Mod RapidWeld, a new style showcasing Van’s DNA, evolutionary comfort and adaptable tech.
The all-new silhouette boasts the iconic Sidestripe that Vans has become recognized for, in addition to many new design updates. A breathable, linerless upper has been specially engineered to reduce bulk and improve support, while a flexible heel counter increases stability. The Mod RapidWeld also ushers in the Ultimate Waffle technology - a full-rubber cupsole crafted with variable thickness to deliver flex, traction and durability.
Beyond providing elevated comfort and improved fit, the UltraCush midsoles are also constructed using a reduced amount of glue – an attribute highlighted through the shoes transparent tinted rubber. The end result is an extremely lightweight and flexible outsole.
Throughout history, with each new era that defines skating, surfing, snowboarding and the surrounding culture, Vans has taken stock of where it’s been while focusing on what’s yet to come. The result has pushed both the brand and the entire footwear market forward. The Mod RapidWeld is now in stores and at www.vans.eu/surf in the hero colorway of quiet shade and true white, as well as all-black and racing red with true white.
